x'mas table centerpiece

a dining table centerpiece with different texture of purplish pink & silver x'mas balls.
inspired by my floral teacher who transformed this festive hanging ornament to a flower container !

for the last 3 years, i bought fresh x'mas pine from the flower market.
and i got pretty good bargain price this year..hohoho.... can make a lots of things now....
firstly, made this lovely table centerpiece with great smell !

hummmm, smell so good !

counting down for X'mas

it's getting all excited when i finished the big wedding deco job last Tue,
and now can start the little hand make stuff for the coming X'mas....
yeah !

want to make different sizes of snowflakes as hanging ornaments on my tree,
set the theme colors as red+white.....
how many should i make ?

if time is allowed, i will get some fresh pine/ cedar leaves to make a wreath or centerpiece,
just like this and this :P

i love color

when i have some, i want more.
love something in a collection.
in my stock, i have already had 25 different color felt sheets
& here are few more to add to my collection.

isn't it just nice by looking at the stack ?
i must be crazy.

flowery ringpillow for pink person

remember the "pink series" last month with consecutive 5 posts about pink stuff ? pink is indeed my favorite color recently (my favorite changes swiftly sometimes....)

i made another flowery ringpillow for a customer,
it wasn't that girlie feel than i thought....
(worry too much before lol !)
hope she will like it :P

flower for May

woo... the flowers market is fulled with peony (and carnations because of mother's day) in may, i bought a less common color this time....
love them love them !!! love the smell too !
i kind of like the white and pink pearl beads, look cute ^^

this is how i organize my ribbons & lace

i spent a whole afternoon to organize the ribbons,
stamped on a thin piece of wood with this,
i like the color tone here !!!


and for the lace too !

flowery ringpillow

spent 3 nights making this: my 1st flowery ringpillow,
gathered different purple felt that saved in my box for years, & different purple beads that i like.
i enjoyed making this very much, as it involves design, & matching the color is very fun !

sleeping on ring pillow

i have stopped the ring-pillow order for a quite long period of time, it's because i was distracted by many other things lately, & i require highly concentration on the embroidery thing......

F&R are my god-brother, Angus's friends,
this ring-pillow was surprisingly able to finish fast, it took me just 3 hours !!!!
i used my favorite lace in here......
please pray for me that i can find the same lace again later!!!

3 pairs of hairclips

went to SSP last saturday, & found these beautiful accessories,
just glue and stick, as simple as that,
& the beautiful hairclips are done !
no wonder the shop was full of girls.

a handmade tissue box

the fabric was bought last year, finally found sth to make with it.

it was originally planned to stamp on the surface of white box.
but even though i polished off the paint layer, the ink just couldn't stay.

i personally like the biggest one the most, then the smallest one :P
what do you think ?

next, i will try to make some small ones.... have to think of some pretty pattern first.

i like packaging more than anything else.

the leaves stamp was bought from petite morpho in my last visit,
pretty pretty!

the weather is no good these few days, very humid.......
& i found the soap is sticky on it's surface.
so i wrap them up immediately, & put them in a dry cabinet.

i'm addicted

the 1st one is the one on the left,

and the 2nd is a bit bigger.

now making a even bigger one !

diy flea market at school street

下午二時多, 和大王到達la belle epoque, wa, 人很多 !
都擠在手作小店門前的一條街 !
因為今天舉行有十位手作人到場參與的手作市集 !


這小店實在太可愛, 店內每樣東西拿上手都不願放低.


人山人海, 很難才擠進去.


今次去主要是會一會認識了一段時間的 blogger aileen,
她弄的每一樣東西都太漂亮 ! 連eric 都讚哩!


aileen 的小booth, 去到時已賣出很多 ! 厲害 !
但當然我也找到心頭好 !


每位手作人的攤位也很可愛!


店主 leo 的packing 又是很漂亮 !
為了不要讓大王呆等太久, 在店內極速picked 了心頭好便離開.
和店主billie談了一會, 臨走時見到shizue (petite morpho 店主),
她給我介紹了rabbitoffee 的 ashley !


買了 paris+ rome 的貼紙, 不同相機圖案的布帶, aileen 做的 brooch.
還有aileen 送我的小礼! (<-- hey aileen, 大王讚你的手工很好呀!)


為了答謝大王陪我來, 請他在大坑附近下午茶 !
蘇棧Cafe Y Taberna這小店都不錯呀 !
點了 crepe, bacon&cheese toast, organic blueberries juice & grapefruit juice !

CNY craft 2009

CNY wreath for the front door,

hand sew 2 "fai chun", and 2 tangerines. cute cute !

took me a whole night, but i was very happy making it.

will our neighbour thinks we are too childish ?

2nd visit at petite morph

it's always a happy thing to visit petit morpho, went there today after work & had a nice chat with shizue who always wears warm smile on her face :P
bought 2 border pattern stamps; 1 of them is engraved on a block of wood! very interesting !
will use them on my soaps !

another item that i brought it home immediatley is the sticker for wall,
will work on it this weekend :P

gift wrapping

i did a lot of things today:

firstly, made a stamp for handmade soap.

it has been a long time i haven't worked on rubber stamp making,

last time was 1.5 yrs ago.

it's a challenge to work on letters, esp small ones,

but i think this time is quite successful :P

& then packed the handmade soap for a friend as x'mas gift.

lastly, packed the gift for exchange on boxing day

(there will be a bbq party with friends at night),

but i wish i can have this gift back..haha.....i like this can :P

new project

attended a soap-making class on saturday night at prince edward,
this ginger soap is a gift from teacher linda & her brother-in-law.

i learned not only the chemistry of NaOH+H2O+oil=soap (hey the F.4 chem !), but also the calculation of INS, SAP values, which are v. important in soap making.

my "products" are now setting for 24hrs to become solidified,
& then 4-6 more weeks to maturation,
hope they can be ready as X'mas gifts !

handmade soaps are good for those who have itchy skin after using the shower gel,
it also good for the environment as they will be decomposed by CO2 in 24 hrs.
with the additions of different oil, essential oil or herbal powder,
the value & function of the handmade soup is added ! :P
