yay, soap engine starts !

yay, finally got an update in my dusty soap blog
had so much fun in making soap again !
made 2 batches in a row !

i want to get some heart shape moulds..
but those on the market are not pretty enough..
the heart shape is either to thin or too fat !
hum......

still there

i was pretty upset last weekend, and didn't sleep well that night.
i thought i have put it down already, but actually not....
still here... so i have to speak it out at least in here !

feel like being "used" and took advanges by others.....

i still see "friendship" exists in this world, but just don't use the word wrongly.

I cannot stand that guy, after seeing the design, and told us it's not worthing;
but he then took the design for his own use !
what the hell ????
can i sue him ?

it's not the matter of $ (i see this in very low priority),
it's the matter of trust and respect.

today, first time eric asked me for opinion about head or tail.

my world only has black or white, but with no grey !
eric always thinks there is grey in the world; and comment about me being a police......
but i don't care.

well, i will only do whatever i think it's right,
justice is what i see very important in my little world.
and i will not only fight for myself, even whoever i know, i will fight for them.

i am happy my hubby is doing sth that is definitely a "right" thing tonight.
he discovered sth, helped to negotiate and settle.
though, he still has some hesitation after he did it...
well, i told him, don't you feel great after doing sth good and right ? and god knows what you did.

all about weddings

sorry for lack of posting.
finished 5 weddings this month with great success.
i can now have a 2-week time to clear my mind,
to brainstorm of something new, and get ready for the 2nd half of the year.

we are lucky, and everything seems running quite smooth,
always meeting nice people, and what is more, these nice people can give us a helping hand.

eric will quit his full time job, and switch to full time focus on wedding design in the coming july.
wish him luck, wish us luck.

should be the other way round, rite? weird me.

finished 2 big projects last weekend,
i am exhausted, never been that tired before ...... a walking dead man these few days at work....
i am starting to scare about the schedule in Dec.

the client called today, and said thank youssss again to us.
this is really something can push us further.
to a 2-men-band, i think we did amazing works last week,
but there are still many things can be better, can be improved......

my glasses

i got my new pair of glasses this week....

since 1X yrs ago, i start wearing contact,

i always feel uncomfortable wearing glasses,

make me dizzy, like floating on ground........

sad is my eyes start feeling extremely dry,

and i could not help but to get a pair of glasses.

sign of getting old.....

happy this week

some achievements that we made this week:
with the time limit of less than a week,
giving my hubby a big big applause !!!

if you ever have a chance to visit the wedding expo at Wan Chai this weekend,
remember do not miss the booth G27-29, eric designed the booth there !
and i wrote a short poem for the company.. hahaha
our first time to help in commercial sector !
i must say, "what a nice work !" comparing others surrounding... hohoho....

yea. i am a bad blogger

hello there....
i am in still the middle of busy......
i thought i can have more free time after the x'mas, but actually not.

after the wedding, i was actually still busy with 2 more jobs b4 the new year....
i slept thru the new year....... missed the count down :(

2010 begins, up till now, finished 3 more wedding jobs, 2 bridal showers, and 1 bridesmaid work for a very best friend....
more to come in this month, will be 1 ad-hoc wedding works and 1 more bridesmaid work for another best friend.

what i can say is... i am soooooooooo worn out...
but, i am happy.
don't worry me :)

oh..... but i had fun during the holiday, eric's cousins came back for the wedding,
and we hung out for some time....
and i missed them a lot now.
hope will visit them and Hawaii+ San Francisco soon lor !!!!

next is planning our trip to BKK during CNY.
yes, planning, still not yet confirm everything,
hope there is still a chance to get the room & flight tickets.....

得獎感受「呢啲研究好難做」

高錕的小腦日漸萎縮，語言能力衰退， 詞不達意。他接受當地中文電視台訪問時說：「我現在很不太好。我自己裏面（指腦部）要講出來，很難做。」高錕對獲諾貝爾獎感興奮，「我很高興。這是非常好 的。（研究）係我自己做，呢啲好難做。」但記者和妻子數次問他是否光纖之父，他卻不明所以。
黃美芸本周二凌晨 3時（美國時間）突被電話弄醒，是瑞典皇家科學院的秘書，來電通知獲獎喜訊。黃又驚又喜，一時語塞，「很像發夢一樣，這個獎很難得到，不知道是真是假。」 她躺回床上睡不着覺，搖醒丈夫，「諾貝爾獎你知道吧？」睡夢中的高錕說：「嗯，那是世界性大獎。得諾貝爾獎是件大事，很高的榮譽。」黃說：「給你的。」高 答：「給我的嗎？很好呀！」說罷又沉沉睡去。
翌日恭賀來電及電郵如雪花般飄至，高錕卻似乎忘了自己得獎，黃美芸三番四次解釋，「佢好開心，話 delighted、 unexpected、"I don't really understand why!"佢記性唔好，唔記得咁耐。咁多記者電話，佢就覺得，嘩，好大件事。」對於外界指這是遲來的榮譽，她不同意，「都唔係呀，佢以前都得過好多獎啦， 得到好多同行認同。」
高錕 04年與朋友打麻雀時反應遲緩，遂到醫院檢查，其後確診患上老人癡呆症，步父親後塵。

妻曾難過「呢個人已經走咗」

黃美芸當時無法接受，哭了又哭，「壓力好犀利，因為知道呢個人以前係點樣。呢個人已經走咗，唔喺度。」她現在 已接受現實，努力照顧智力一步步衰退的丈夫，又得意洋洋的對記者說，多得她要丈夫整天跟她打網球，現時身體才這麼強健，「佢精神好好，瞓得食得，係個腦有 啲問題。我要佢（打網球）走呢邊走嗰邊，所以身體咁好囉。」
上月剛慶祝金婚的高錕夫婦快將度過 76歲及 75歲生日。諾貝爾頒獎禮今年 12月在瑞典舉行，兩口子已商量好，到場親自領獎，黃說：「一生只有這麼一次，我們一定會去。」

【本報訊】病魔奪走他的記憶，也掃走煩憂。當全世界為高錕患上老人癡呆症嘆息，他正在美國安享晚年，笑容像加州陽光般溫煦，開懷得像個嬰孩。當地健康中心護理員說，高友善開朗，深受其他長者歡迎。中心職員從新聞得知他獲諾貝爾獎，才知道這個樂天長者原是非凡科學家。
高 錕夫婦今年夏季從香港搬到美國加州矽谷山景城定居。他們接受多間傳媒機構訪問時表示，現時生活與一般退休老人無異。高錕夫婦居於旺中帶靜的社區，附近有華 人超級市場和日本餐廳。高錕每天行程包括與妻子打網球、上音樂課及手工課等。他喜歡看電視，又經常行山及到附近公園散步。在當地工作的子女每周探望兩老， 高錕特別喜歡跟孫兒玩耍。

「甚麼都不做　鍛煉第一」

高錕每周到專門照顧智障或體障老人的健康中心三次，與其他長者吃午飯、做動運和談天。高錕在中心看見記者，即 瞇眼笑說：「我知道你們是來找我的。我知道你們想問我甚麼，我告訴你，我很高興，（得獎）是非常棒的一件事！」他又跟攝影記者搭訕，「我以前喜歡照相，自 己洗（冲曬）照片的。現在甚麼都不做了，鍛煉第一。」

做早操後洗手　一臉稚氣

快將 76歲的高錕在中心與數十名長者一起「鍛煉」，早上做椅子操，在椅上伸手、抬腿、轉拳頭，高做完即紅光滿面。職員把潔手消毒液噴在他手心，他就一臉稚氣的向記者攤開雙手，「看，很乾淨，哈哈！」
中 心的主任說，前天得知高錕獲諾貝爾獎，還來不及慶祝，「我們才知道 Charles（高錕）是非凡科學家。他友善和氣，愛問老師問題，大家都喜歡他。」護理人員又告訴記者，高錕是舞林高手，並即席示範。 Charles牽着護理員的手，伴着老人們的掌聲和隨音樂哼叫的聲音，在禮堂中心起舞轉圈，仍舊掛着童真滿瀉的招牌笑容。


it was my honor to have dinner with Prof Kao few years ago.
we didn't have much conversations, but could feel his gentle & gracious personality.

what touches me the most is he now only remembers his wife but not the optical fibers ...........
those his devoted research works are no more important to him now but his wife......

if i'm (touch wood) suffered from Alzheimer's disease when i am old, please let me at least remember my husband and his things, this will be the greatest 福氣 !

a new try

it's always true that "女人錢很易賺 ".

the salesgirl almost don't even have to tell me the details, & i have already pulled out my purse.....

the packaging is so beautiful that i cannot resist.

and i have tested their "hydro-filler 2" which is very "hydro" indeed !!!

recent me

hehe... too lazy in blogging again....
but i worked really hard on my handmade soap in the past few days....

it was because mom called last week, and asked for some handmade soap.
i passed few of my very early batches to her and my aunts last year ... and they didn't ask for more later...
so i think probably they don't like them or they probably have stocked up some commercial ones.....

mom said the soap are very good for her hair and skin!
hey, i am very happy about that... and so made 3 batches in the past few days....
i put the posts with recipes in here.

been to shiu shing hong last friday to shop for more oil,
lo-ban gave me a very good price of refined shea butter.....only HKD100 for 250g.... hahaha.....

dealing with couples of "ma-fan" clients recently...
i really don't know how to deal with these kind of ppl....sigh....

a transition

eric & some other friends ask me should update here more often,
because i let grasses grow, grow and grow......
and i kind of switch the updating habit in facebook....coz there will take me less time.

so, this is now become my flower arrangement blog ????
seems ....my blog is now only showing flower stuff....

don't want to write something negative,
don't want to write about work things......

i feel a bit hesitation in writing too personal things.....
don't know who is reading this.....
am i thinking too much ?
probably... and hope this is just a transitional period.

i love the above bouquet very much,
probably my best pick so far.
i can now handle the hand-tied bouquet better,
this only took me 10 minutes to finish.
so, "practice makes perfect" is very true.

treasure hunt

when i saw this shop, i was speechless.

the whole shop is stocked with different antique "felt" wooden boxes.

& i couldn't stop humming rod stewart's song "that old feeling".....

some small ones have sizes suitable for my craft, jewels, paper cutting or anything;

or large ones like suitcases suitable for cloth and magazines.......

it was a huge challenge for me to pick out these 2 from the stacks.

i was really really falling in the shop.

kept asking the lady to take this and that down for me to have a look.

& she was very happy and proud to say that her dad made all these.

if i was not with my family, i could probably be staying there for few hours.

i must visit there again soon.

the one with "SOAP" on it was the original one i picked,

i want to put my hand-made soaps in there.....isn't it just meant to be mine?

but i turned out to get the 2 matched color boxes.....

maybe next time, i will take you home, wait for me.

今天才看《非誠勿擾》, 實在是遲了一點.
可恨當初上映期太短, 才錯過了在電影院看.

馮小剛, 編劇跟導演都是他,實在很厲害, 因為對白寫得確實到肉, 這回才發現中國電影的 sense of humor. 節奏又拍得流暢, 美指也應記一功 !

葛優做得好, 是度身訂造的角色, 沒話說.

驚見徐若瑄演的只有一場戲, 仍然美麗可愛.
看了香港Richard Gere 方中信的數場戲, 感受是:上天不公平, 為什麼男人老了還是好看 ?
至於女主角舒淇, (先至聲明, 我對她沒有偏見)就是覺得她沒有出盡力去演, 可以再好一些, 還是找周迅演會好一些呢?

總結是: 10個推介 !!!

相信在香港, 應該只剩下很少人還未看 《葉問》吧!
我不大喜歡看功夫片, 但這套又是例外.
甄子丹的打法 (還有外型)相信好看過成龍,吳京等人罷.....
有幾場打戲, 心裡暗呼 "好型" (不要說我敷淺, 我說的是事實)!!!
另外就是, 聽老婆話的男人總會心得女性觀眾的歡迎吧.

看罷在想, 梁朝偉又會怎樣去演葉問呢???
